Is Apache CloudStack a replacement hypervisor?
CloudStack is a cloud orchestration platform. It manages infrastructure such as compute, networking, and storage. KVM supplies the underlying virtualization in the migration architecture we focus on; Kubernetes, Ceph, and backup services are integrated according to the design.
Can we keep our existing hardware?
Often, suitable infrastructure can be reused. We assess processor compatibility, memory, networking, storage, support lifecycle, and capacity before recommending what stays and what changes.
Does everything have to leave AWS or GCP?
No. Some applications and managed services may be best kept where they are. We assess the dependencies and complete operating costs, then plan which workloads move and how the environments connect.
What about downtime and recovery?
Migration windows depend on the application, data volume, and available tools. The plan should specify cutover windows, rollback criteria, backup copies, restore tests, and application acceptance. Multi-site infrastructure and storage replication do not replace backups.
Who operates the cloud after migration?
We define that with you during design. Responsibilities for monitoring, patching, backup, upgrades, incident response, and escalation need explicit owners, whether your team, ForgeWerx, or a combination.
